11 Day luxury accommodated safari -Something Exclusive

Something totally different, more relaxing and completely out of the rat race. Pamper yourself while taking in the sights and sounds of the Zimbabwe bush. Recline in the luxury of the Victoria Falls hotel, spend a few days game- viewing in Hwange and then relax on deck of your private cruiser on Lake Kariba before being spoilt beyond words at Bumi Hills Spa

The grand old lady as the Victoria Falls Hotel is known was built at the turn of the last century to provide train passengers with accommodation while they visited the falls. This iconic building harks back to colonial days gone by and is one of the worlds most famous hotels. Plush carpets, huge halls and a stunning view of the railway bridge joining Zimbabwe and Zambia with the mighty Victoria Falls in the background. It's all about service , grandeur and life like it used to be.

A tour of the falls and a sun-downer boat cruise is all that has been booked for you –

Your mid morning charter flight to Little Makololo in the Hwange National Park will take about an hour, where you will be met and transferred to "Little Mak" - arguably the nicest small lodge in the park and in the heart of the private Linkwasha concession with its fantastic game viewing. The next two days are spent exploring the area doing game drives and for the more adventurous, morning walks.

From Little Mak it's a 1 hour flight to Kariba where you are met and transferred to "Power sails" - which will be your home for the next three nights as you sail the Kariba waters. Power sails is an up market 65 foot Cruiser with many superb features, a spacious lounge and dining area that is fully carpeted and air conditioned, one en suite double cabin and two twin cabins that share a separate shower and toilet.

For the more adventurous - sleeping in the open under mosquito nets on the upper deck is a fun way to escape the hot summer temperatures while lying on you back and gazing at the kaleidoscope of far away galaxies and stars in the dark night. (For safety reasons we do not recommend children under the age of 10 on this boat). The vessel has a crew of three (Captain, Chef and Deckhand) plus two comfortable 16 foot tender boats for fishing and exploring the shorelines.

Although there will normally only be your party travelling the boat is licensed for up to 10 passengers, and so if you would like to bring your friends along there is plenty of room - we recommend a maximum of 6-8 for utmost comfort.

Power Sails will drop you off at Bumi Hills Safari Lodge for your last 3 nights in Zimbabwe. Bumi is the epitome of luxury in the bush, with its own spa with hot stone massages and sauna– this is definitely not your typical safari camp. The signature rim flow pool and the magnificent vistas over lake Kariba make for a memorable climax to your Zimbabwe Safari. Sit back relax and savour your last few remaining days.

Activities at Bumi include game drives and walks into Matusadona, visits to the local Batonka village, tiger fishing in the Sanyati gorge and sunset cruises on the lake. On your last morning your charter flight will collect you from Bumi airstrip and take you to either Harare or Victoria Falls in time to connect with your international flight.
