Hiking in Majorca

Explore some of the most beautiful and unspoiled landscapes of the Mediterranean, which are certainly worth to be preserved and protected

Day 1: ARRIVAL ON THE COSTA BRAVA / MARESME. After arrival, dinner and overnight on the Costa Brava / Maresme.

Day 2: CROSSING TO MAJORCA. Costa Brava / Maresme, Barcelona, Palma de Majorca. In the morning we take a city tour of Barcelona. After that in the port of Barcelona we embark the Ferry to Majorca. After disembarking in Palma de Majorca we have a short drive to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: PENINSULA LA VICTORIA (Hiking tour of approx. 4,5 houis). Enjoy the breathtaking view of the pearl of the north. From the bay of Alcudia, the trail leads through a pine forest to the beach Col Baix, from there over an Alpine road to the summit of the peninsula. During the whole walk and at the lunch break, we can enjoy the view over the imposing north. The descent to the Ermita de la Victoria first leads to a path that turns into a dirt track, down to the bay of Pollença. Stop in the monastery tavern

Day 4: PORT DANDRATX, SANT ELM (Hiking tour of approx. 3 hours). After breakfast we drive to Port d'Andratx, in the south west of Majorca. There, on a short but very appealing walk, we start our tour. With views of the coast and the foothills of the Serra de Tramuntana, we approach the small seaside resort of Sant Elm and, in front of it, the Dragon Island "Sa Dragonera", which short off the coast rises imposingly from the sea. Since the late 70s it is a proteced. It is inhabited mainly by gulls and the small-Dragonera lizards. We spend the afternoon in Sant Elm. Nice cafes and sandy beach invite to linger.

Day 5: BANYALBUFAR, ESPORLES, PORT DE SOLLER (Hiking tour of approx. 6 hours). We walk on the "Camí des Correau of" up to the mountain village Esporles. An old connecting path leads us up, and by narrow and winding paths through pine forests, we get down to the Port of Canonge. The small port consists of a few summer cottages, fishing boats and a small pebble beach. We continue on a smugglers path to Banyalbufar. The small town is famous for its terraced gardens, unique in Majorca, which date from the Arab period. By coach we arrive at Port de Soller and back to the hotel

Day 6: DAY AT LEISURE. A day you may spend as you wish.

Day 7: FROM POLLENÇA TO THE MONASTERY OF LLUC (Hiking tour of approx. 4,5 hours). Drive to Pollenca where we will follow the historic pilgrimage route to Lluc. With the high peaks of the Serra de Tramuntana on our minds, we hike over the pass, past the Puig Tomir. Shady oak forests, blossoming orchards and rough meadows result into a a varied landscape. Those who want to can hike through the botanical garden of the monastery Lluc. Return trip, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: PALMA DE MAJORCA, BARCELONA, DEPARTURE. Frühstück, Fahrt nach Palma und Einschifffung. Nach Ankunft in Barcelona beginnt die Heimreise. Breakfast, drive to Palma and embarkation. After arriving in Barcelona begins the journey home.
