10 Day Cape Town, Winelands and Wildlife Safari

This safari begins at Cape Town International Airport and ends at O R Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. (NOTE: A separate quote will be given for transfers and scheduled flights)

DAY 1 – 3: Cape Town
On arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met and transferred to the Cape Grace Hotel where you will stay for three nights.

With Table Mountain, one of the most spiritual places on earth, at its heart and two oceans at its feet, the city of Cape Town, strategically situated at the south-western tip of Africa, has been famed for centuries as the Tavern of the Seas. Vibrant, cosmopolitan and an eclectic mix of old and new, this laid-back city is as much at home with its 17th century castle, whose cannons have never been fired in anger, as it is with its sleek skyscrapers and trendy malls. Home to South Africa’s first Mosque, oldest wine farm, a 350 year-old garden and timelessly beautiful beaches, it’s no surprise the legendary Flying Dutchman and his spectral ship have spent eternity sailing the city’s shores.

Your stay includes accommodation in a luxury room, breakfast, use of the Hot Spa area from 08h00 to 15h00: steam room, sauna, rain and body shower. Complimentary wireless/high speed Internet access, morning tea and coffee with wake-up calls, luxury chauffeur transfers within a 20km radius from 07h00 to 23h00, subject to availability & Cape orientation and wine tasting. Cleaning and servicing your room at a time that is convenient for you, Cafe Complet served in the library & club lounge from 05h30-10h30 every morning, sherry & port served in the library and club lounge in the evenings, complimentary secure parking, daily newspaper delivered to the room, in-room gym equipment (upon request) or transfer & access to nearby health club, with full facilities.

DAY 4 & 5: Franschhoek
Make your way to the beautiful Cape Winelands where you will spend the next glorious nights at Le Quartier Francais.

It is here, in a valley tightly hemmed in by mountains, where a small band of French Huguenots, who fled to avoid religious prosecution in 1688, settled. Although their original skills as wine-makers have been somewhat exaggerated, they did have in their midst the de Villiers and du Toit brothers, who taught them a thing or two about viniculture. The settlers soon developed impressive vineyards and homesteads, which to this day bear their original French names. Amongst these manor homes is Boschendal, which has been so beautifully restored, visitors are expected to remove their heels before entering! With the impressive Huguenot Memorial, museum and rose garden at its head, the town has just one main street lined with antique shops, cafés and restaurants.

Your stay includes accommodation in an auberge room, breakfast, 24 hour internet access at reception, wireless internet access throughout the hotel, refreshment trays in all rooms and transfers within Franschhoek.

DAY 6 – 9: Sabi Sands Game Reserve
Make your way to the Sabi Sand Game Reserve where you will spend the remaining four nights of your African adventure.

Bordering the famous Kruger National Park, the Sabi Sand Game Reserve guarantees a never to be forgotten experience of the African bush. With no fences between it and the Kruger, animals are free to wander across vast stretches of land. With one of the richest game populations in the country, the chances of seeing the Big Five are excellent. The Reserve is also home to a host of other animals.

Spend four nights in a spacious stone cottage on the banks of the Mabrak River at Dulini Lodge. Your stay includes Includes accommodation in a suite with an outdoor shower and a private plunge pool, three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, teas and coffees, refreshments on game drives, laundry, scheduled safari activities, nature walks (1 hour) accompanied by experienced armed trackers (subject to availability), emergency medical evacuation insurance as well as transfers to and from the airstrip (where applicable).
