DAY 1 ARRIVE YANGON

Arrive at Yangon International Airport. Welcome by our tour guide. Transfer to Hotel. Yangon sightseeing includes Botataung Pagoda at the bank of Yangon river, then city center where Sule Pagoda located to see the bustling life of Yangon and City Hall. Then visit Bogyoke Aung San Market (former Scott's Market), where one can buy many items in one place. This Market was built in British colonial times and has a colonial shape. "Chaukhtathgyi Pagoda" it is the fourth largest colossal reclining image in Myanmar and 67m long. In the evening, visit the most magnificent and spectacular religious edifice, Shwedagon Pagoda before the sun set and enjoy the beauty stupa while it changes the shining of gold in different tones according to the radiant of the setting sun. Stay overnight in Yangon.

DAY 2 YANGON Ï¿½ MAWLAMYING (COACH)

After breakfast drive to Mawlamyine, a charming town is the capital of Mon state, situated at the mouth of the Thanlwin River. On the way, take a glance form the car window. Arrive at Mawlamyaing and sightseeing includes Kyaikthanlan Pagoda, Uzena Pagoda. Then back to hotel. Stay overnight in Mawlamyaing.

DAY 3 MAWLAMYINE - KYAIKHTIYO (COACH)

Breakfast at hotel. Visit the local train station and study old train engines. Then drive to Kin Pun "base camp". Continue to Kyaikhtiyo the "Golden Rock", a huge bolder completely covered by gold leaves and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. From Kin Pun, we have to drive 11 km to the intermediate point. From the upper area, travelers must, at present, walk the final stage, approximately 4 km, up steep paths, which ascend some 500 m to the Golden Rock. As four porters can carry an easier alternative to walking, visitors in sedan chairs, an extra cost have to be paid by the clients themselves. On arrival, watch the beauty of sunset or dawn at this important pilgrimage site. Stay overnight in Kyaikhiyo.

DAY 4 KYAIKHTIYO - BAGO Ï¿½ YANGON (COACH)

After breakfast, back to Yangon, via Bago [110 km/8 hours]. Bago sightseeing includes "Kanbawzathardi Palace" the famous palace of King Bayinnaung (1551-1581 A.D.) is being extensively excavated and some buildings are being rebuilt. "Shwe Maw Daw Pagoda" was originally built by the Mon to a height to 23 meters in the 8th century and was rebuilt higher several times until it finally reached its present 114 meter stature in 1954, the highest pagoda in Myanmar. "Shwethalyaung Pagoda" Built in 994 AD by King Mingadippa, It is 55 meters long and 16 meters high, another biggest reclining Buddha image in Myanmar built during 9th century. "Kyeik Pun Pagoda" It was built by King Dhamma Zedi in 1476 A.D, four gigantic Buddha images all in sitting posture facing the four cardinal points of the compass. After sightseeing, be continuous to Yangon. Arrive Yangon and transfer to hotel. Stay overnight at Yangon.

DAY 5 YANGON Ï¿½ MANDALAY (FLIGHT/COACH)

After breakfast, transfer to airport and fly to Mandalay. Upon arrival, drive to Amarapura, visit Mahagandayone, a monastery with high reputation consists of more than a thousand of monks can be seen at the same time while they have their first meal of the day. Visit MAHAMUNI PAGODA with its spectacular Buddha image. By visiting the Shwe Inbin and Shwe Nan Daw Kyaung two wooden monastries in teak wood standing to witness the durability of teak and the carving of the 19th century is still with totally traditional Myanmar style. After that visit to KUTHODAW PAGODA, known as the world's biggest book, consisting of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures. You can call it a day by enjoying the sun setting at Mandalay Hill. Stay overnight in Mandalay.

DAY 6 MINGUN Ï¿½ AMARAPURA (BOAT/COACH)

After breakfast, drive to Mingun jetty. Take a short boat trip to Mingun . Visit Pahtodawgyi which is unfinished huge pagoda that was supposed to have 150m heigh. Then proceed to Mingun Bell which has about 90 tons in weight and the world's biggest bell among the ringing ones. Then continue to Myatheindan Pagoda - the most beautiful archaeological style. Take a short boat trip to Mandalay and back to Mandalay. To call it a day, visit a bridge, called U Bein which belongs to 1782 recuperated from the waste of an abandoned palace totally in teak wood accredited to the achievement of the mayor U Bein. You can enjoy sunset on the bridge by getting experience the local authentic ways of life. Then back to hotel. Stay overnight in Mandalay.

DAY 7 MANDALAY Ï¿½ MONYWA (COACH)

After breakfast, proceed to Monywa [ 150 km 4 hours ]. Visit en route the Thanboddhay Pagoda; 8465 small stupas are rising up to richly decorated central stupa, which is reminding a bit of Borobudur in Java. Take a walk through the nearby banyan tree grove Boddhi-Tathaung with the thousand Buddha images sitting at the foot of each tree and enjoy the view from Aung Setkaya Pagoda, standing 130 meter high on the Po Khaung hills. After that cross the Chindwin River by ferry boat and proceed by pickup or jeep [ 40 km - 1 hours ] to Hpo Win Taung, a system of impressive sandstone caves containing Buddha statues, wood carvings and fine mural paintings mainly in Innwa -style, some dating back to 15th century. Dozens of large and small caves with about 450,000 images are hidden in the area of the Hpo Win Hills. Stay overnight in Monywa.

DAY 8 MONYWA - POKKOKU Ï¿½ BAGAN (COACH/BOAT)

After breakfast, drive to Pokkoku (takes more or less 4 hours). Visit some villages on the way to observe the daily life of the people. Arrival in Pokokku and cross the Ayeyarwaddy River by boat to Bagan (About 2 hours). Stay overnight in Bagan.

DAY 9 BAGAN (COACH)

After breakfast, stroll through the colorful local market continue the day with visits to the most significant pagodas and temples of Bagan including Shwezigon Pagoda, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as a religious shrine; Ku Bkyauk Gyi, a temple with superb murals of Jataka scenes; Khay Min Ga Temple, noted for its panoramic view of the area's numerous monuments and Ananda Temple, with four standing Buddha images. In the afternoon, visit one of Myanmar's most treasured handicrafts, a lacquer ware craftsmen's workshop in nearby Myinkaba village. You will continue to Munuha Temple, builds in the Mon - style in 1059 and follow on to Nanbaya Temple, a unique sandstone monument said to have been the palace of King Manuha. Next you will explore the Myingaba Gu Byaukgyi Temple, a temple noteworthy for its mural paintings under the protection of UNESCO. Proceed to Bupaya Pagoda or Mingalazedi Stupa to watch the sunset over the famous Ayeyarwaddy River. Stay overnight in Bagan.

DAY 10 BAGAN Ï¿½ PYAY (COACH)

After breakfast, drive to Pyay. Several stops along the road for tea or coffee exploring local markets, Cattle Market [Magwe]. Stay overnight in Pyay.

DAY 11 PYAY Ï¿½ YANGON (COACH)

After breakfast, visit to the Shwesandaw Pagoda, on the eastern bank of the Ayeyarwaddy River. It is one of the most scenically beautiful spots in the country. Drive back to Yangon [7 hours] several stops at local tea shops for rest [Taikkyi, Paungde] and along the road to discover countryside activities. Pyay is situated near the ancient capital of Sri Ksetra, where extensive archaeological excavations have taken palace. Arrive Yangon, transfer to hotel and stay overnight in Yangon.

DAY 12 DEPARTURE

Time at leisure to pursue individual interests until your transfer to the airport. Your guide will pick you up the hotel and accompany you to the airport. Departure from Yangon.
