Day 1
Arriving at  OR Tambo  International Airport [Joburg]  you will be proceed to the nearby Domestic terminal for your flight to Phalaborwa. Upon arrival at Phalaborwa you will be picked up transferred to Sefapane Lodge

Day 2-3 Sefapane Lodge , Breakfast

Sefapane safari Lodge is right on the doorstep of Kruger National Park. From here we will have the chance to explore Kruger park and the surrounding area. Home to the "BIG FIVE" few reserves can offer such a diversity of rich animal life. During your stay here we will do a full day safari , an evening game drive and a river safari.
Full Day Safari (06.00-16.00hrs)
Set out at dusk for a full day of game viewing in an open 4×4 vehicle with an experienced guide in search of the wildlife. A scrumptious picnic breakfast and lunch is served in the bush.
Evening Safari with Bush braai (17.00-22.00hrs)
A game drive with open 4×4 vehicle into the sunset. After sundowners, when the night falls, a search for nocturnal animals using spotlights begins. The traditional braai is served after the drive.
River Safari (07.30 – 11.30hrs)
A cruise along the banks of the Olifants River, amidst hippos, crocodiles and a variety of other game. Coffee, cake, water and juice are provided on the cruise. 

Day 4-5 Giriyondo, Machampane Wilderness Camp

Leaving Sefapane Lodge we game drive through  Kruger National Park and cross the border into Mozambique at Giriyondo Border post . Here you will be met by your guide from Machampane Tented Camp. Machampane is an unfenced luxury bush camp nestled under trees on bank of a river located in, the 1,1 million hectare Moçambique sector of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park, adjacent to Kruger . There are 5 en-suite tents accommodating up to 10 people and offering an intimate wilderness experience.Each tent has its own deck, with chairs and table, overlooking the water.There will be time for an afternoon Game walk before settling down for a Braii around the fire.

Over the next few days we have the opportunity to discover the wonders of Parque Nacional do Limpopo on foot. Located in a secluded riverine forest, it offers tranquil surrounds in which to appreciate the spectacular scenery and wide variety of bird and wildlife. The waterholes along the Machampane River and the plains of the Lebombo plateau provide the perfect setting for game and bird viewing.

Day 6 Chidenguele, Lake View Lodge
From Machampane Camp we cross the Massingir Dam and we travel to  Chidenguele  via Chokwe and Chibuto.
Lake View Lodge, this relatively new lodge is situated overlooking the beautiful Nhambavale lake. The lakeside restaurant has wonderful views and the lodge has two pristine swimming pools..

Day 7-9 Inhambane, Barra Lodge

Heading north on the EN1 we leave Gaza province  and pass through the massive coconut plantations that characterise Inhambane. Inhambane City is steeped in history. First founded by Vasco da Gama in 1534 it was the most southerly slave port used by the Arabs. Stroll through this old slaving port, visit the local museum, harbour, seek out the deposed statue of Vasco de Gama, the cathedral and find the beautiful old buildings with their colonial Portuguese architecture. The African culture and local market places, all make it a fascinating town to browse around. A number of restaurants in and around Inhambane give a variety of options. From here it is a short drive out to Barra Peninsular  .
Barra has secluded, unspoilt beaches, and is bordered by the Inhambane estuary on one side and the sea on the other. The lodge is nestled amongst groves of coconut trees and the warm Indian Ocean offers safe bathing all year round.  Wide open, sun-drenched beaches offer endless hours of strolling pleasure.

Whilst at Barra Lodge  there are many activities to enjoy. Snorkel along the reef and enjoy the myriad of colourful reef fish, fascinating corals and other marine life. For those who Scuba Dive we have a number of reefs, offering a variety of diving experiences.  Commonly seen are manta, whale sharks, turtles, and a huge variety of reef fish and for the lucky a sighting of the rare dugong. A must for first time visitors to the area is an Ocean Safari. This  fun ride to sea gives one the opportunity of  seeking out  whales and  whale sharks as well as the resident pods of  dolphins.

This section of the tour ends with a flight out to Johannesburg or for those wishing to enjoy more of Mozambiques magnificent coastline, exotic islands and pristine wilderness areas there is the option to continue on to Vilanculos, Bazaruto Island and Parque Naçional do Gorongosa

Vilanculos extension:  Bazaruto Archipelago    (Mozambique)
From Inhambane we catch a flight to Vilanculos. This sprawling coastal town is the gateway to the Bazaruto Archipelago, lying 10-25km offshore. There are some lovely beaches plus the local market is open seven days a week for those who want to take in a little of the lively local culture. This afternoon you will be flown to your lodge on Bazaruto Island right in the heart of the Archipelago.. About 40 kilometers off the Mozambique coast, a small cluster of islands pays homage to the idyllic beauty of unspoiled nature.  Known as the Bazaruto Archipelago it contains a diverse and fascinating ecosystem to cater for a wide range of interests and activities. A seductive escape from reality, Bazaruto is where dreams of total rejuvenation and utter relaxation come to life. Bazaruto Island remains as one of the last unspoiled reminders of true island paradise. It's a blissful escape to the solitude of white beaches, soaring sand dunes, deep lakes, exuberant bird life, and all that flourishes in this untarnished setting. From relaxation, to water activities, to island safaris, Bazaruto Island is a natural gateway to an exquisite dream.

Gorongosa National Park Extension
From Bazaruto Island it is but a short plane ride away to the pristine wilderness of Gorongosa National Park . Gorongosa was one of the flagship game reserves in Southern Africa in the 60s and 70s. It did take a battering during the civil war years and thereafter, however luckily the Carr Foundation in conjunction with the Mozambique government are in the process of restoring Gorongosa to its former glory. Gorongosa has all the various wildlife, including  the large grazers (wildebeest, buffalo etc. ) as well as lion, elephant and a huge variety of antelope. The birding in Gorongosa is second to none – especially trips up Mount Gorongosa. If you are a birder – Gorongosa is a must.

Explore Gorongosa – luxury tented Camp      [highly recommended]
Predominately focusing on walking safaris, however due to the beauty and diversity of Gorongosa National Park they do include game drives (day and evening/night) to ensure that the guests fully explore the Gorongosa.Maximum 8 guests (4 tents). Tented semi-permanent safaris – tents have all the comforts and luxuries of an up market safari – proper beds, mattresses, linen, down duvets etc. We do have the ability to up and move camp as well as do walks to fly camps to ensure our guests really get to see and explore all areas of Gorongosa. Pre departure guest information is paramount  to ensure that we understand the guests and their expectations as accurately as possible to ensure that we use our flexibility and mobility to ensure they have a great time!
