Itinerary

Day 1: Kuala Terengganu to Tanjung Jara Resort

Your holiday begins at Tanjung Jara Resort after a quick drive Kuala Terengganu Airport. The 99-room resort is designed to reflect the grandeur and elegance of Malay palaces, and lets you experience first hand the warmth and breadth of Malay hospitality.

Day 2: In Tanjung Jara

Wake up to a spectacular view of the South China Sea and prepare for a day of fun and luxury. Plan your day according to taste, and choose from a myriad of activities offered by the resort, from jungle trekking and river cruises to cultural experiences such as traditional cooking lessons, batik panting and handicraft. You can even go on a diving trip at the reefs off Tenggol Island, or just lounge and relax by the sea. The day is yours!

Day 3: Tanjung Jara to Kuantan

A short morning drive takes you away from Tanjung Jara along the coast into Kuantan, Pahang. Take the opportunity to sample some lemang, a traditional delicacy made from rice and coconut milk cooked in bamboo, as you pass Malay villages along the way.

Check into your hotel at Kuantan after a brief visit to a weaving centre. Then relax and enjoy a carefree afternoon basking in the sun on sandy beaches.

Day 4: Kuantan to Taman Negara

You day begins with a trip from Kuantan to Kuala Tembeling, Pahang. A cruise upriver then takes you to your next destination, Taman Negara Resort in Kuala Tahan, where an air-conditioned chalet awaits. In the evening, sit down to an interesting slide presentation and get close with the wild during the Night Jungle Walk.

Day 5: In Taman Negara

It's a day of exploration as you make your way to Bukit Teresek, which offers a panoramic view of Gunung Tahan and the surrounding forests. Walk among treetops along the Canopy Walkway, a 500 metre bridge suspended 30 to 40 metres in the air, and enjoy an unforgettable experience.

Another of the day's highlights is a leisurely trip to the cascading waterfall at Lata Berkoh. Go for a refreshing swim in the pool just below the falls, or relax on the numerous rocks that dot the falls.

Day 6: Taman Negara to Kuala Lumpur

Enjoy a morning river cruise as you head back to Kuala Tembeling. The trip back to Kuala Lumpur includes a brief stop at Temerloh and an excursion to the Kuala Gandah Elephant Conservation Centre for some fun with the inhabitants! Get up close with these incredible creatures and learn about the centre's conservation efforts. After that, relax and reminisce as you journey back to Kuala Lumpur during the afternoon.
