Jolly Sicily 8 Days - 7 Nights

Day 1. Palermo.
Upon arrival at Palermo Airport you will be transferred by shuttle services to the Hilton Hotel Excelsior, located in one of the city center's main streets. Enjoy a welcome cocktail. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2. Palermo-Cefalu-Castelbuono-Catania.
After breakfast, depart to Cefalu, home to a breathtaking Norman Cathedral with dazzling mosaics. Proceed to Castelbuono, a typical medieval village located on the slopes of the Madonie Mountains. Admire the Church of St. Anne (Patron Saint of the city) along with the bell tower next to the Church of "Matrice Vecchia". After the town visit, enjoy a tasting of the local Sicilian delights, including: pastries, panettone, and the famous artisan liquors (Rosolio) of various flavors. Lunch in local Castelbuono farmhouse. Proceed to Catania. Dinner and overnight at the Excelsior Grand Hotel.

Day 3. Catania-Mt. Etna-Taormina-Catania.
After breakfast, weather conditions permitting, excursion to Mt. Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. Travel up to 2000mts where you called "the pearl of the Ionic Sea", founded in 400 BC and beautifully located overlooking the sea. Time at leisure or discover the fascinating Roman-Greek theatre. Return to Catania. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4. Catania-Siracusa-Ragusa.
After breakfast, depart to Siracusa for a visit of the archaeological Theatre, the Roman Amphitheatre and the Dyonisios "Ear". Visit the island of Ortigia, the small baroque old city center of Siracusa. Lunch in a local restaurant. Afternoon departure to Ragusa, with a panora¬ mic drive through Modica: one of the most picturesque cities in Sicily. Upon arrival in Ragusa you will enjoy a sampling of local Sicilian specialties at a nice bar in the main square, located near the Basilica di San Giorgio. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Poggio del Sole Resort.

Day 5. Ragusa-Caltagirone-Piazza Armerina-Agrigento.
After breakfast, depart to Caltagirone, famous for the production of ceramics and pottery. Visit of a ceramics factory and free time for shopping. Continue to Piazza Armerina and visit the famous Villa Romana del Casale: it has the richest, largest and most complex collection of late Roman mosaics in the world. Lunch in a local restaurant. Continue to Agrigento. Enjoy a visit of the Valley of the Temples. Dinner and overnight at Dioscuri Bay Palace or Hotel Della Valle.

Day 6. Agrigento-Selinunte-Erice-Palermo.
After breakfast, depart to the Archaeological park of Selinunte; with Continue to Erice, a medieval town full of myth, history and art which sits on top of Mt. Erice; overlooking the city of Trapani and the Egadi Islands. Arrival in Palermo, dinner and overnight at the Hilton Hotel Excelsior.

Day 7. Palermo-Monreale-Palermo.
After breakfast, enjoy a visit of the Capital of Sicily, which includes: the Cathedral, the "Palatina" Chapel, and a panoramic tour of the town. Continue on to Monreale and admire the Cathedral with its splendid 12th century mosaics and the cloister of the Benedictines monastery with Moorish architecture. Lunch at your hotel. Afternoon at leisure or take an optional excursion (paid locally) to Monte Pellegrino; where you will visit the Shrine of Santa Rosalia, the patron saint of the city - visit the Catacombs of Cappuccini - end the afternoon to discover the most colorful & historical markets of Palermo: The Capo Market. Dinner and overnight.

Day 8. Palermo.
After breakfast, transfer to Venice Airport for your return flight home.
