Day 1:
Arrival at Keflavík international airport. Transfer to the accommodation in Reykjavik where you stay for 4 nights.

Day 2:
Golden Circle daytour, visiting some of the most main attractions of South Iceland;  the Gesyir geothermal area  where hot springs are in abundance with one of them – Strokkur – spouting regularly every 5-10 min;  Gullfoss waterfall is considered to be one of Iceland’s most beautiful waterfalls. Another highlight of the day is Þingvellir national park, a geologically fascinating place and the site of the oldest parliament.

Day 3
Free day to relax and prepare for the evening celebration. Or possibility for an optional excursion to Blue Lagoon (not included) in the morning where you can enjoy relaxing in the pleasantly warm geothermal water before returning to Reykjavik and prepare for the evening.   The festive dinner programme will depend on your preferrence and availability. You can choose dinner with a festive twist which is finished in time for you to join a tour to a traditional New Year’s bonfire which is normally ended around 22:00. The rest of the evening at your leisure. The other option would be a dinner with bonfire and festive programme of entertainment, sparkling wine at midnight and dancing after midnight until 02:00, when you can return to your hotel, or continue the celebrations downtown.

Day 4
Possibility for another optional excursion or a free day to simply relax after night of celebration.
A visit to Reykjavik’s largest swimming pool with jacuzzis, steam baths, etc. might be an excellent idea for starting the new year.

Day 5:
Transfer from your accommodation to Keflavík international airport in time for your flight home or continue with an add-on holiday to North Iceland.
