Day 1: Arrive to Bujumbura

On arrival be warmly received and then escorted to your hotel. Tour Bujumbura for half of the day, visit the cultural and snake museum, tour the memorial, the city hall, Lake Tanganyika which is the most prominent attraction in the area, the Islam Culture Centre and the President’s Office. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

Day 2: Bujumbura – Rutovu

Travel over 120 kilometers to tour the genuine source of the Great Nile found at Rutovu. In the evening drive back to Bujumbura. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 3: Visit of Memorial of the Explorers

Today you will go to the Memorial of the Explorers in the morning which is a massive rock in the outskirts of Bujumbura. It commemorates the conference of Hanington with John Speke who both where explorers. Visit the local market, Bujumbura’s down-town and the crafts centre. After lunch, you will then catch your return flight. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel. End of the tour.
